This organisationare currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in theindustry to join their expanding Edinburgh office. This company has a low staffturnover rate and provides you with the opportunity to work on interesting,challenging, and high-end projects.Your new role As a graduateelectrical engineer you will help your team ensuring sustainability, efficiencyand safety of electrical systems across various building types. You will beresponsible for contributing to electrical design across a range of ourclient's projects, working closely with the electrical team. Your duties willcover design and delivery of electrical design deliverables including drawings,specifications and schedules.Your keyresponsibilities will be:
- Working in a consultancy environment to design buildings electrical systems
- Production of detailed design calculations for all aspects of electrical design.
- Production of specifications.
- Production of design notes and reports
- Production of design drawings from conception through to detailed design.
- Play an active role in every stage of our client's projects from feasibility to completion across multiple sectors.
What you'll need to succeed
- You will have an accredited Building Services /Electrical Engineering degree or higher educational qualification.
- Working towards chartership.
- Willingness and passion to deliver Electrical building services engineering designs across a range of sectors.
- Conducting any or all stages of electrical design from concept to completion as required by the project, and with the assistance and supervision of senior engineers.
- Working knowledge of a range of digital tools including AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, Amtech/Trimble, MS Office, etc.
- Basic knowledge of technical and legislation requirements for electrical services
- Good communication and people skills
- A positive attitude
