Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Rural Management team in Edinburgh.

You will be responsible for delivering land and estate management advice, together with other consultancy advice, to land and property owners. The role will support and encourage the successful individual to work with existing clients and to develop new clients and service lines.

You will be based in our Edinburgh office, and the successful candidate will be:

  • Experienced in delivering high-level advice to land and property owners across rural land and mixed-use estates and portfolios.
  • Demonstrates an ability to advise clients strategically, being able to look at the wider implications of decisions.
  • Technical strengths in Landlord & Tenant and strategic estate management.
  • Experienced in providing a wide range of consultancy skills to landowners.
  • Demonstrates an expertise in niche skills as well as general industry technical requirements.
  • Passion to win new work and create new opportunities.
  • Trusted advisor and a respected property expert with high levels of emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients.
  • Maintain a strong industry presence and network.
  • Demonstrates the ability to influence others to achieve high standards.
  • Can demonstrate a proven network of intermediaries and contacts that refer fee-earning work to others.
  • To adhere to all company processes in people management and to role model professional behaviours at all times, ensuring an inclusive workplace with zero tolerance of discrimination.

Team Overview

The team in Edinburgh provide a range of services to both private and institutional clients including traditional estate management, strategic development land management, Compulsory Purchase, Utilities and Telecoms work. The team comprises of a Director who is supported by an Associate, a Rural Surveyor and a Team Administrator. Savills Scottish Management Team of 40 are based across offices in Edinburgh, Perth, Inverness and Dumfries. The team provides core management and consultancy services in the rural, agricultural and residential sectors.

The Edinburgh management team works in partnership with a number of other teams and in particular: Food and Farming; Agency; Valuation; Commercial property management; Planning; Natural Capital; Tourism, Leisure & Events and; Forestry.

The wider Rural Division operates across the UK, with 37 offices from Inverness in the North to Truro in the South.
