We’re currently working with a highly respected UK wealth and investment management firm to recruit an experienced Paraplanner to join their Edinburgh office. This hybrid role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking business known for its innovation, high-quality service, and strong client-first culture.

The firm provides investment and wealth management services to private clients, financial advisers, and institutions. With a reputation for integrity, transparency, and the intelligent use of technology, they have established themselves as a trusted name in the UK financial services sector.

The Role

As a Paraplanner, you’ll work closely with Financial Planners and Investment Managers to provide high-quality technical support and ensure a consistently outstanding client experience. You’ll be responsible for preparing detailed suitability reports, conducting research, and helping to deliver bespoke financial planning solutions to high-net-worth clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality, compliant suitability reports and documentation for a range of advice areas including pensions, investments, IHT planning, and retirement strategies.

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to support client recommendations.

  • Liaise with Financial Planners to clarify client objectives and ensure advice is tailored and appropriate.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FCA regulations and internal compliance standards.

  • Use tools such as Xplan and Pershing to input and manage client data efficiently.

  • Contribute to the overall quality and consistency of paraplanning processes across the team.

About You

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Paraplanner, ideally supporting HNW clients in an independent advice environment.

  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and tax planning.

  • Familiarity with systems such as Xplan and Pershing.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • A strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.

  • Diploma qualified (Level 4), with progress toward Chartered status preferred but not essential.
