We’re currently working with a highly respected UK wealth and investment management firm to recruit an experienced Paraplanner to join their Edinburgh office. The Role
As a Paraplanner, you’ll work closely with Financial Planners and Investment Managers to provide high-quality technical support and ensure a consistently outstanding client experience. You’ll be responsible for preparing detailed suitability reports, conducting research, and helping to deliver bespoke financial planning solutions to high-net-worth clients.
Key Responsibilities:

Produce high-quality, compliant suitability reports and documentation for a range of advice areas including pensions, investments, IHT planning, and retirement strategies.

Conduct in-depth research and analysis to support client recommendations.

Liaise with Financial Planners to clarify client objectives and ensure advice is tailored and appropriate.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FCA regulations and internal compliance standards.

Use tools such as Xplan and Pershing to input and manage client data efficiently.

Contribute to the overall quality and consistency of paraplanning processes across the team.
About You
Essential Skills and Experience:

Proven experience as a Paraplanner, ideally supporting HNW clients in an independent advice environment.

Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and tax planning.

Familiarity with systems such as Xplan and Pershing.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.

Diploma qualified (Level 4), with progress toward Chartered status preferred but not essential.
