Contract Scotland is recruiting for an experienced General Foreman to support a major civil engineering project within Edinburgh Airport.
General Foreman – Edinburgh Airport
Location: Airside site access required
Duration: May/June 2025 – March 2026
Hours: Full-time, day and night shift flexibility from Nov 2025
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day site operations

Manage trades and subcontractors across compound and runway works

Ensure health, safety, and quality standards are maintained

Liaise with airport teams on access, permits, and compliance
The Project:
-
Phase 1 (June–Sept): Compound construction – earthworks, drainage, roads, utilities, foundations, modular buildings, and fencing

Phase 2 (Nov–March): Runway rehabilitation – day and night shifts
Requirements:

Previous airside/landside experience at Edinburgh Airport preferred

Strong site leadership background in civils/infrastructure

SMSTS, First Aid, and Appointed Person tickets desirable
