Contract Scotland is recruiting for an experienced General Foreman to support a major civil engineering project within Edinburgh Airport.

General Foreman – Edinburgh Airport
Location: Airside site access required
Duration: May/June 2025 – March 2026
Hours: Full-time, day and night shift flexibility from Nov 2025

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations

  • Manage trades and subcontractors across compound and runway works

  • Ensure health, safety, and quality standards are maintained

  • Liaise with airport teams on access, permits, and compliance

The Project:

  • Phase 1 (June–Sept): Compound construction – earthworks, drainage, roads, utilities, foundations, modular buildings, and fencing

  • Phase 2 (Nov–March): Runway rehabilitation – day and night shifts

Requirements:

  • Previous airside/landside experience at Edinburgh Airport preferred

  • Strong site leadership background in civils/infrastructure

  • SMSTS, First Aid, and Appointed Person tickets desirable
