ABC Teachers is seeking a committed and inspiring Humanities Supply Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Northfield from September 2025. This long-term, full-time role is ideal for an enthusiastic teacher ready to make a lasting impact in the classroom while developing their teaching career. Located in the thriving community of Northfield, this welcoming secondary school is known for its inclusive ethos, strong leadership, and focus on academic achievement. The school encourages creativity, critical thinking and student voice across all year groups, creating a dynamic environment for both staff and pupils.

The role:

  • Teach Humanities subjects (such as History, Geography and/or Religious Studies) to KS3 and KS4.

  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging and thought-provoking lessons.

  • Work collaboratively with the Humanities department and contribute to a positive learning culture.

  • Promote curiosity, empathy and critical thinking in line with the school’s values.

 

Requirements

The successful Humanities Teacher will have;

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Humanities.

  • Recent secondary teaching experience.

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and student progress.

  • A proactive and flexible approach to teaching.

  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
