My client, a market leading multidisciplinary Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Hydrologist to join their innovative Team in Edinburgh.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in Hydrology, Environmental Management, Civil Engineering or Water Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing flood risk assessments or hydrological assessments or hydraulic modelling using Hec-Ras, Flood Modeller or Tuflow.

It is beneficial for applicants to live locally to attend site visits in local flood risk areas. You will also be expected to work from the office a few days per week.

This exciting opportunity will offer candidates the opportunity to join the experienced team to complete flood risk, hydrology and environmental projects for Local Authorities, Water Companies and Government Bodies.

Candidates will be required to complete;

Nutrient neutrality Assessments

GIS mapping

Flood Risk Assessments

Hydrological Assessments

Natural flood management

Re-wilding and habitat management.

Re-wetting farmland and wetland creation.

Surface water management plans.

large scale catchment management plans.

Nutrient neutrality assessments.

Water quality sampling and assessments for local rivers.

Pollution Incidents.

Flow calculations.

Flood Estimation

GIS mapping.

Peak surveys and assessments.

Catchment scale flooding and drainage solutions

Wetland creation and restorations.

Vole habitats Surveys by re-wetting farmland.

Bids and project management of varied projects,
