Meraki Talent is partnering with an accountancy practise based in Scotland. We’re looking for a confident and proactive HR Generalist with strong expertise in employee relations to join a HR team. In this field-based role, you’ll be the first point of contact for all people matters across our Scottish locations, supporting managers and employees with a wide range of HR issues.You’ll play a key role in fostering a positive work environment, ensuring fair and consistent people practices, and helping to build manager capability in handling sensitive or complex situations. This is a hands-on role that requires strong relationship-building skills, sound employment law knowledge, and the ability to work independently.Generalist Responsibilities: 
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance cases
  • Coach and support line managers on best practice HR approaches and policy application
  • Build strong working relationships across sites and act as a trusted HR advisor
  • Ensure consistency in ER case handling in line with company policies and current legislation
  • Support change management processes such as restructures, TUPE, or redundancy consultations
  • Deliver HR training sessions to upskill managers on people management topics
  • Contribute to wider HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain up-to-date HR records, reports, and metrics for your region 
 Person Specification: 
  • Proven experience in an HR Generalist or Employee Relations role, ideally within a multi-site or field-based environment
  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • Confident in handling complex and high-volume ER cases with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills – able to build trust quickly
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own time across multiple locations
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Scotland
