Land Surveyor / Site Engineer – Edinburgh Airport (Nightshift)

Contract Scotland are working with our client to recruit a Land Surveyor / Site Engineer for an airside project at Edinburgh Airport, starting mid-November and running through to March next year.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a major runway reprofiling project, gaining valuable airside experience on one of Scotland’s busiest airports.

Key Details:

  • Location: Edinburgh Airport (Airside)

  • Duration: Mid-November 2025 – March 2026

  • Shift Pattern: Sunday night to Friday morning

  • Shift Hours: Access around 5/6pm for security clearance, work commencing approximately 10pm and running through the early hours (10-hour shifts)

  • Rate: Competitive nightshift rate (TBC)

  • Parking: Compound available just off Turnhouse Road

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out precise land surveying and setting out for runway reprofiling works

  • Produce accurate survey data and AutoCAD models

  • Work with any surveying instrument confidently and efficiently

  • Liaise with the project team to ensure works are completed to specification and programme

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in land surveying or site engineering

  • Strong proficiency with AutoCAD

  • Experience in modelling and setting out

  • Previous airside experience is advantageous but not essential
