Banking & Finance Lawyer (2-7 years')

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Banking & Finance Lawyer to join a leading international law firm’s highly regarded Finance team in Scotland. With offices in both Glasgow and Edinburgh, this hybrid role offers the chance to work on complex, high-value transactions for an impressive roster of clients.

The RoleYou will handle a broad range of finance work acting for both lenders and borrowers, including major UK and international banks, insurers, debt funds and some of Scotland’s most successful corporates. The work spans corporate banking, general lending and structured finance matters, with direct responsibility for transactions from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising on a variety of corporate banking and finance transactions for lenders and borrowers
  • Managing transactions from initial instruction through to completion
  • Drafting and negotiating key finance documents
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting business development and networking initiatives

About You

  • 2–7 years’ PQE in banking and finance, gained in a reputable private practice setting
  • Experience in general corporate banking work across a variety of transactions
  • Qualified in Scots law or English law
  • Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness
  • Excellent drafting, communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take initiative
  • Enthusiasm for business development and client relationship management
