Tax and Estates Solicitor | 3 years'+

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is available for a Tax and Estates Solicitor to join a respected Private Client team. The team advises landed estates, rural businesses and high-net-worth families on complex asset structuring and succession planning.

This role is open to individuals with at least 3 years' PQE, including solicitors from Scotland, England & Wales, or professionals from the tax advisory sector with similar expertise.

The role is based in Edinburgh, with hybrid working options and flexibility for part-time candidates.

What you will do:

  • Advise clients on estate planning, trusts, and asset protection
  • Manage estate administration and draft legal documents
  • Collaborate with colleagues across different legal areas to provide comprehensive advice
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, offering support with empathy and professionalism

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ years’ PQE
  • Practical knowledge of tax and succession planning
  • Ability to work independently and manage varied work
  • Full STEP membership, or willingness to complete the STEP diploma (funded by the firm)
  • Interest in working closely with clients and handling complex legal matters
