We are seeking an experienced finisher to join our team on a new build housing development in Queensferry. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to focus on the crucial final stages of our homes, ensuring a flawless finish for handover to our clients and new homeowners.

The Role:

As a finisher, you will be instrumental in perfecting the interior of our new homes, primarily focusing on all snagging and remedial works related to plastering and painting. Your precision and commitment to quality will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the overall excellence of our properties. Key duties include:

  • Patch Plastering: Skilfully carrying out all forms of patch plastering and making good, ensuring seamless repairs to walls and ceilings after other trades have completed their work.
  • Painting & Decorating: Performing touch-up painting, full room re-paints as required, preparing surfaces meticulously, and ensuring a high-quality, blemish-free finish on all painted areas.
  • Snagging & Remedial Work: Proactively identifying and expertly rectifying minor cosmetic defects and snags to meet exacting quality standards across various surfaces.
  • Mastic/Sealant Application: Applying silicone and mastic neatly around internal fittings (kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors) where required, for a clean, sealed finish.
  • Minor Making Good: General tidying and small repairs to ensure all areas are clean, tidy, and perfectly presented for final inspection and homeowner handover.
  • Working to exacting quality standards and efficient deadlines across multiple plots.
  • Liaising effectively with Site Management and other trades to coordinate tasks.
  • Adhering strictly to all site health and safety regulations and company policies.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive experience as a finisher on new build housing sites is essential.
  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to delivering a premium quality finish.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction quality standards and snagging processes.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and effectively identify/rectify defects.
  • Reliable, punctual, and a proactive approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Own full set of professional tools appropriate for plastering and painting tasks.
  • Own PPE (hard hat, safety boots, high-vis vest).
  • Preferably own transport, or ability to reliably commute to the Scarborough area.

How to Apply:

If you are a meticulous finisher with strong patch plastering and painting skills, ready to make a significant contribution to our new build housing project, we want to hear from you! You can apply for this role by simply uploading your most up to date CV.
