We are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join a national house builder to deliver a large scale new build development near Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated construction professional to play a key role in delivering high-quality homes.

The Role

As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager in the successful delivery of developments, from groundworks through to client handover. You will help ensure works are completed on time, to budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role will cover both standard housing and flatted developments, providing you with varied and valuable experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing day-to-day site operations, including subcontractor coordination and material scheduling.
  • Support the monitoring of build quality, ensuring compliance with NHBC standards and company specifications.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all health & safety regulations.
  • Assist with site inspections, quality checks, and progress reporting.
  • Help resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively to maintain production targets

About You

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager (or similar role) within a house building environment.
  • Hands-on experience with NHBC standards and processes.
  • Track record assisting in the delivery of both traditional housing and flatted developments.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to work closely with the site team, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • SMSTS / SSSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid at Work qualifications desirable
