REED Business Support are pleased to be working with one of Scotland’s Fastest Growing Student Organisations, who are looking to recruit a ‘Maintenance Administrator’ on a Temporary basis. As the Maintenance Administrator you will be responsible for driving the performance of the service KPI’s whilst contributing to the delivery of an outstanding student experience. You are responsible for a number of areas, including but not limited to, planned and reactive maintenance, statutory compliance and ensuring the condition of the property is checked on.

Temporary Role

Booking Length: 1 Month Initially (Temp to Perm Opportunity)

Start Date: Asap

Location - Edinburgh

Key Responsibilities:

  • To prioritise and manage all work orders and the allocation of maintenance tasks to ensure these are closed off in a timely manner.
  • To be responsible for the planning of all the statutory and routine maintenance in accordance with the Property Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • To carry out semi-skilled maintenance including on the spot repairs, fixing TRV’s, adjusting and replacing ballcocks, sorting air locks, replacing tap wash
  • To respond to reactive maintenance in accordance with the SLA and to keep students and customers aware and informed of the status of repairs.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a similar role with a strong track record of completing maintenance objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to keep students and customers informed about the status of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Familiarity with operating reception computer systems (including Kinetics and FM 180), and understanding of security and H&S equipment such as CCTV, access control, and fire alarms.
  • Knowledge of statutory and routine maintenance requirements, including L8 Legionella monitoring, fire alarm testing, and adherence to property safety protocols.
