For all intents & purposes this should very much be considered a permanent opportunity!The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a small Office Services team & taking a "hands-on" approach in ensuring the smooth running of Administration services to the client's Edinburgh office. Duties involved in this role will include:* Management, delegation & oversight of Administration work across the business, ensuring the team is working efficiently - taking a "hands-on" approach to ensure work is completed when required* Effective management of the Office Services team of 6 staff, providing training & support to the team & individuals when appropriate* Ensuring that regular catch-ups and annual Performance Reviews for staff are completed within the timescales set by the HR Department - as well as agreed training & development activities being attended * Working effectively with managers across teams throughout the business, striving to ensure that the highest level of service is provided at all times & across sites* Providing support to the Facilities Manager in dealing with new starts, assisting with basic Health & Safety processes and liaising with external stakeholders* Keeping track of all office kit/supplies and advising Facilities when replenishments are required* Dealing with legal documentation, titles and papers held in storage - including maintenance of the associated databases, dealing with retrievals and returns, and managing destruction dates* Ensuring the provision of assistance where required to other teams including the Cashroom & the IT Team * Various other Office Management & Administration duties as requiredIn order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include:* Previous experience within a management role looking after Administration staff - this experience is ESSENTIAL and candidates who have gained this experience within a Legal or Professional Services environment will be at an advantage in this process* First-class people management skills, with the ability & confidence to support where required and have difficult conversations where they're required* Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal* Solid organisational & time management skills, with the ability to prioritise a sometimes very busy workload effectivelyIf this is the role for you, apply now!Please note that only applicants who have the required skills and experience detailed above will be considered for this role.
