Opportunity for Temporary to Permanent Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Multi Drop 7.5 tonne driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of goods to various business locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.

Duties

• Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for multi-drop deliveries across designated routes.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed in a timely manner while adhering to traffic regulations and company policies.
• Load and unload goods safely, ensuring that all items are secured properly during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
• Communicate effectively with the logistics team and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure the lorry is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance issues as necessary.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any queries or concerns from clients during deliveries.

Skills

• Valid 7.5 tonne driving full class 2 licence Driver CPC and Tacho Driver Card, with a clean driving record is essential.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Previous experience in multi-drop delivery or logistics is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance would be advantageous.
