SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER - 4 MONTH CONTRACT - INSIDE IR35

One of Loriens leading Public Sector clients is looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to join their team for an initial 4 month contract.

This post is responsible for senior product management in respect of the Digital Learning Infrastructure programme, to provide input into a full business case required to progress the programme. The postholder will ensure that requirements and outcomes are clearly defined detailing the value to be gained by the programme. Key tasks will include but will not be limited to:

  • Experience implementing a product strategy and roadmaps for medium to long term delivery and implementation
  • A strong background in technology delivery
  • A clear understanding of Agile development methodologies
  • Ability to facilitate negotiations with a wide range of individuals within education,Social Care and beyond, to ensure the delivery of initiatives at the highest possible standards and in line with company aims.
  • Effective communicator knowing how to make complex technical information and language simple for diverse internal and external stakeholders (both verbally and in writing)
  • Ability to work on own initiative, to organise and prioritise workload and to meet strict deadlines.

Experience

  • Expert knowledge and experience of developing, delivering and support for products, particularly in a health and / or social care environment.
  • Experience of designing and presenting the vision for a portfolio of products and gaining organisational and team level adoption.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering products that return measurable value.
  • Significant experience of Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience of analysing requests for development.
  • Experience of communicating and influencing at senior level and of giving presentations at local/national/international levels.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and to meet deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to learning and problem solving.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.

  • Strong influencing and leadership skills
  • Know how to get the best from people and lead multidisciplinary teams, giving them context of the problem/challenge form a business and user perspective and setting clear, prioritised objectives and constraints to work within
  • You can coach and develop the capability of others, leading by example.
  • The confidence and presence to operate at a senior level and to engage with senior staff across the organisation.
  • Specialist expertise in product management, preferably within the Care sector or a University.
  • Strategic thinker, with and understanding of the long-term vision of the organisation and define product strategy and long-term plan(s) that will achieve the vision whilst providing value and the best experience for the user.
  • Delivery focused, you are disciplined and able to define and prioritise what's most important and how to achieve that in the most efficient and effective way.
  • Management role including coaching and/or mentoring of team members.
