Opportunity: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a premier contractor renowned for crafting exceptional environments, is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial division. This firm is celebrated for its transformative projects, ranging from the luxurious refurbishment of elite hotels to the innovative conversion of antiquated structures into modern marvels. Due to some recent project wins , they are eager to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to their business.

Role Overview:

In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Commercial Director. Collaborating with a cadre of skilled Senior Quantity Surveyors, your expertise will be instrumental in the commercial oversight of intricate and bespoke construction projects throughout Scotland. Stationed in an inviting Edinburgh office, your collaboration with the operational contingent will ensure the successful execution of projects valued between £10 million and £50 million.

This role offers a comprehensive engagement with each project, encompassing the initial preconstruction phase to the final handover and account settlement. It is an exceptional chance to deploy your complete array of quantity surveying talents. Given the singular nature of our client's projects, you will confront and manage complex commercial challenges, necessitating a proficient and assured approach to quantity surveying.

Success Criteria:

The ideal aspirant will have a robust background in main contracting or development, with a proven track record in managing commercially intricate projects. A degree in quantity surveying is imperative, coupled with a solid foundation in technical construction principles. A penchant for navigating the intricacies of complex refurbishment projects is essential, as is the ability to thrive amidst the unforeseen challenges that each day may bring. You should be an adept Quantity Surveyor, well-versed in delivering profitable outcomes for your employer while fostering constructive relationships with your supply chain and other key stakeholders, including clients and consultants.
