We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major civil engineering project in Edinburgh on a 9-month contract basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile infrastructure scheme and play a key role in its commercial management and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final accounts

  • Administer and manage contracts in line with NEC3/NEC4 conditions

  • Prepare and manage cost forecasts, valuations, and cash flow

  • Handle compensation events, change control, and subcontractor management

  • Liaise closely with site teams, the client, and key stakeholders

  • Ensure robust document control and reporting procedures

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale civil engineering projects

  • Strong working knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 contract suites (essential)

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline

  • Able to work on-site in Edinburgh as required
