OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team, covering Scotland. This role involves working on a wide range of plant machinery, including loading shovels, dump trucks, and excavators up to 60 tons. Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of plant machinery, including loading shovels, dump trucks, and excavators.
  • Perform scheduled servicing and inspections to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely.
  • Respond to breakdowns and provide timely, effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used and time spent.
  • Liaise with clients and colleagues to ensure clear communication and excellent customer service.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a plant fitter or in a similar role, with expertise in heavy machinery.
  • Strong mechanical and technical skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair faults effectively.
  • A full UK driving license is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance or engineering are highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Day-to-Day

  • Travel across Scotland to service and repair plant machinery on-site.
  • Inspect and test machinery to identify issues and ensure optimal performance.
