We are working with one of the UK’s leading Tier One building contractors, who are delivering a landmark project in Edinburgh city centre. They are now seeking an Assistant Facades Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in the early stages of a high-profile development and work alongside some of the best in the industry. You’ll be supporting the Facades Manager in the design coordination, procurement, and delivery of a technically complex façade package, playing a vital role in ensuring quality, programme, and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the management of façade subcontractors from tender stage through to installation and handover.
- Support the technical review process of drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Work closely with the design team, consultants, and supply chain to resolve any technical or interface issues.
- Attend progress and design meetings, ensuring clear communication between all stakeholders.
- Monitor site progress, reporting on key metrics to ensure programme targets are achieved.
- Maintain strict quality and safety standards across all façade activities.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with façade or envelope packages within a main contractor or specialist subcontractor environment.
- Strong technical understanding of curtain walling, cladding systems, and façade interfaces.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively across different teams.
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certificates are desirable (or willingness to achieve).
- Degree or relevant construction qualification would be beneficial.
