About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our school. The successful candidate will support pupils with a range of additional support needs, delivering tailored lessons and interventions that promote learning, independence, and wellbeing.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements

A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., BEd, PGDE) with experience or specialism in SEN.

Full registrationwith the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS).

Experience teaching pupils with a variety of additional support needs (e.g., learning difficulties, ASD, ADHD, or social, emotional, and behavioural needs).

Strong understanding of Curriculum for Excellence and differentiated teaching strategies.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.

Commitment to inclusive practice and promoting participation from all learners.
Desirable

Specialist SEN qualifications (e.g., Additional Support Needs (ASN) endorsements).

Experience with Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) or coordinated support plans.

Knowledge of assistive technology and alternative communication methods.
