Store Person

Store Person | Edinburgh | Negotiable DOE

An opportunity has come up with our client for an experienced Store person to work in their busy manufacturing and warehouse environment.

Key duties will include:

• Controlling goods inward and outwards and recording all stock movements.
• Valid forklifit would be a distinct advantage.
• Checking for damaged or missing goods or equipment and reporting on these.
• Storing goods correctly and ensuring that they are properly protected against damage or deterioration.
• Moving goods around by hand, with the aid of lifting gear or by any other appropriate means.
• Ensuring adequate stocks of consumables are maintained.
• Picking orders.
• Packing and loading goods for dispatch.
• Stock-taking on a regular basis.
• Maintenance of tools & equipment
• Responsible management of internal and external clients stock.
• Ensuring that all records relating to stores are kept up to date and maintained in an efficient manner.
• Carrying out housekeeping duties and ensuring that stores area is maintained in a well organised, clean and tidy manner

You must have proven experience in a similar role and be committed to a long term role,

PAYE contract with plenty of overtime available,
