The UK Regulatory Engagement and Advocacy Specialist will play a pivotal role in shaping regulatory strategies and engaging with key stakeholders within the energy & natural resources sector. This position, based in Edinburgh, requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and policy development.

Description

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage with regulatory bodies and key industry stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyse regulatory changes within the energy & natural resources sector, providing actionable insights to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with UK regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise reports and presentations on policy developments and their potential impact.
  • Represent the organisation in industry forums, consultations, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Advocate for the organisation's interests by building relationships with policymakers and regulators.
  • Provide expert advice on regulatory risks and opportunities to support business objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the UK's regulatory landscape and emerging trends.

Profile

A successful UK Regulatory Engagement and Advocacy Specialist should have:

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and policies within the energy & natural resources sector.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and advocacy roles.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing regulatory challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
  • A relevant degree in a related field, such as public policy, law, or energy studies.
