Reed Technology is working with an Edinburgh based institution, as they look to add a Senior Endpoint Officer to lead and oversee the systems and processes that support and maintain the infrastructure behind the Windows desktop environment for thousands of users.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and support of systems that enable automated deployment of operating systems, applications, and configurations across the Windows desktop environment.
  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of the Windows desktop service, managing incidents, changes, and service delivery processes.
  • Serve as a senior technical resource, offering in-depth support and guidance to IT colleagues and resolving complex issues that require specialist knowledge.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies to enhance current and future desktop services, improving efficiency, scalability, and user experience.

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) or Intune.
  • Deep understanding of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Solid knowledge of networking principles and technologies.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing high-level of technical support.
  • Demonstrated experience in service management and large-scale configuration management.
  • Ideally holding Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent certifications.
