Interim Digital Content Officer - Website Project

We're seeking an experienced Digital Content Officer to support a major website redevelopment project for a public sector organisation. This interim role is part of a dedicated project team working in an Agile environment to deliver a new, accessible, and user-focused website by Spring 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to prepare and publish content using Umbraco CMS.
  • Ensure content meets brand, accessibility, and usability standards.
  • Support content development sprints and contribute to testing and launch activities.
  • Analyse content performance and assist with post-launch improvements.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong experience in digital content creation within corporate web projects.
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and CMS platforms (preferably Umbraco).
  • Agile project experience and ability to manage competing priorities.

Details:

  • Location: Hybrid (Edinburgh-based office, one day per week)
  • Duration: September 2025 - May 2026 (with possible extension)
  • Hours: 35 per week, flexible start/end times
  • Security: Disclosure Scotland required
  • Inside IR35
