Shift Production Supervisor - 4 on 4 off shifts (days/nights)

Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Operations and Productions Supervisors with experience in heavy industry, interested in joining a busy 24/7 recycling operation in North London with one of the UK's largest companies in the waste management industry.
This position involves a 4 on 4 off days/nights rotating shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off) so please only apply if this would be suitable for you.
Recycling or waste management industry experience would be ideal for this however if you have worked in quarrying, concrete manufacturing, manufacturing/production or the wastewater industry or similar, this will also be acceptable.
Role Duties
- To maintain H&S standards and performance on site.
- To supervise in the day to day running of the Material Recycling Facility.
- Monitor and review production teams to ensure continuous improvement.
- Reporting and recording deficiencies within the plant.
- Monitoring staff training and compliance and support the management of production teams.
- Liaise with the management team on the plant's operational performance.
- To deputise in the absence on the Senior Production Supervisor.
- To liaise with external and internal customers in a professional manner.
- Assist in the investigation of accident and incidents.
- Assist the team in the achievement of the sites KPI's
Desired Applicant Profile
- Working knowledge of H&S, IOSH (Desirable).
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO accreditations and requirements.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word etc)
- Previous experience and knowledge gained in the waste sector (Desirable)
- OR previous management/supervisor experience of working with large teams predominantly in Production/Manufacturing environments (Essential)
- A general understanding on engineering/mechanical principles (Desirable)
