Role responsibilities
- Providing tax planning and compliance services to a portfolio of privately owned businesses
- Advising clients on shareholder matters, reorganisations, transactions and succession planning
- Overseeing corporate tax returns and ensuring high-quality, accurate reporting
- Identifying opportunities to reduce tax liabilities and add long-term value for clients
- Acting as a strategic adviser, supporting clients through business change and growth
- Collaborating with other departments to offer joined-up solutions across audit, accounts and advisory
- Mentoring junior team members and helping to build technical strength within the team
- Staying up to date with the latest tax legislation and applying it practically in client work

Candidate requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified with experience in corporate or owner-managed business tax
- Proven track record of advising clients on complex tax matters
- Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and current planning strategies
- Commercial awareness and the ability to deliver advice that aligns with clients’ wider business goals
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to lead engagements, manage a portfolio and support junior team members
