We're working with a well-established freight forwarder who is continuing to grow and invest in their operations. They are now looking for an experienced Customs Coordinator to join their friendly and collaborative team in Egham.

The Role

As a Customs Coordinator, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end customs process for EU road freight imports, ensuring full compliance and smooth clearance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing EU road freight import customs processes from start to finish
  • Preparing and submitting customs entries and clearances in line with HMRC regulations
  • Checking and maintaining accurate import documentation, including:
    • Commodity codes
    • Tariff classifications
    • EORI details
  • Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve customs queries efficiently

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year's experience in a customs role within a UK freight forwarder
  • Strong working knowledge of UK customs procedures and documentation
  • Experience using customs clearance systems (e.g. Descartes e-Customs or similar)
  • Excel proficiency is essential
