Project Engineer Position Overview
Based in UK, this role provides service support to Servotest customers throughout UK and when necessary, in surrounding countries, subject to access visas as required.
The service aspect of this role requires excellent customer facing, and practical hands on skills. Service work includes annual maintenance and calibrations, fault finding, fitting replacement parts and anything else required by the customers that is associated with the service of Servotest products. The service of competitor products is also included in this role and is subject to experience of the individual. Tools and other equipment will be provided by Servotest to support the servicing needs.
The role will typically require travel in UK and Europe. There may be occasional travel to destination further away which will always be discussed and agreed in advance. Support and product training will be provided by the UK team at the factory in England.
Project EngineerRoles and responsibilities:-
- Work out calibration requirements to ensure performance compliance. Carry out calibration / testing and issue certification
- Providing service support to Servotest customer installations in UK and Europe
- Providing service support to non-Servotest customer installations in UK and Europe
- Maintain / improve customer relations with existing Servotest customer base
- Assisting the UK project management team with customer project preparation and handling technical issues during installations of systems
- Being the technical Single Point of Control/Contact / Project Leader for client (on site)
- Delivering projects to deadline and to a high standard.
- Collect necessary data from customer or check site information in advance to guarantee a smooth installation and a smooth operation.
- Drawing up method statements and risk assessment before site work
- Drawing up and managing manuals, standard procedures and progress report;
- Pointing out risks with regard to safety, the environment or health
- Participate in design review and project close-out review
- Must be willing to travel internationally from time to time
- Ensure all calibration equipment is up-to-date with the correct calibration license
Project EngineerExperience, qualifications and skills

Experience
- 3+ years of field servicing experience
- 5 + years of hands on calibration / service / installations
- Operating with calibration equipment and diagnostic tools
- Health and Safety awareness for on-site work
Qualifications
- HND or degree qualified in an engineering discipline.
Skills
- Health and safety awareness for on-site installation and service work
- Reading and interpreting plans and drawings
- Proficient in Microsoft products, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and outlook

Working Hours
- 35 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 7.5 hours per day, with a 1-hour lunch break
- Friday: 5-hour day with no lunch break (early finish)
Working Times
- Flexible start between 8:00am and 9:00am
- Monday to Thursday: Finish between 4:30pm and 5:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am to 1:00pm
Holidays
- 25 days annual leave
- Plus 8 Bank Holidays
- Total: 33 days per year
