Contract Scotland are working with a well-established main contractor as they look to strengthen their commercial team in the North of Scotland with the appointment of an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Key responsibilities:
- Taking full commercial lead on your assigned project.
- Managing cost control, procurement, valuations and reporting.
- Working closely with the site team to ensure financial performance and contractual compliance.
- Building strong relationships with clients, supply chain and internal colleagues.
- Overseeing variations, forecasting and final accounts.
- Ensuring commercial governance is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:
- Experience as a Project QS or Senior QS within main contracting.
- Ability to operate as commercial lead on a project.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management and procurement.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work autonomously.
- A proactive, organised approach and strong attention to detail.
