Description
As the Validation Engineer you will be responsible for the following;
- Interpret and manage technical requirements to create and execute qualification programme plans.
- Take technical ownership of system verification matrices and activities required for their completion
- Develop, execute, and report on test plans, with the opportunity to participate as a test subject when safe.
- Careful examination of similarities between products to establish if existing test evidence is valid for qualification of new products
- Conduct theoretical analysis using analytical methods and computational tools to support product qualification.
- Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement across engineering systems and practices.
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive team environment.
- Promote and uphold a safety-first culture throughout all activities.
- Engage in professional development through formal & informal training, including self-led learning and mentoring.
- Stay up to date on relevant technologies, regulations, and industry best practices.
Profile
A successful Validation Engineer should have:
- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, with the ability to validate work independently and review peer's work.
- Demonstrable experience in planning, executing, and reporting on product test/qualification activities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, consistently meeting commitments.
- Analytical thinker who can interpret complex and sometimes conflicting data to solve problems effectively.
- Excellent communicator, adaptable to various audiences.
- Collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience in multi-disciplined engineering with a focus on verification, validation, and compliance.
- Experience in leading Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and documenting outcomes.
- Proficiency in 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (SolidWorks) design and drafting tools.
- Familiarity with efficient engineering processes and best practices.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience.
