Overview

Resourcery Group are recruiting on behalf of one of the region's most exciting and high growth businesses. With a strong UK presence and a global footprint, the business has grown incrementally over the past decade. With growth comes opportunity and expansion across North America has lead to new opportunities across Group Finance. One such opportunity is the Tax Director or Senior Tax Manager role.

Given the global nature of the business and in particular the North America focus, a Tax specialist with UK and International tax experience/expertise is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the tax function, ensuring compliance with UK and international (US) tax laws and regulations
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position
  • Provide expert advice on tax implications for business decisions and transactions
  • Oversee tax reporting and ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the business
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including finance, legal, and external tax advisors

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification in tax (e.g. CTA, ACA, ACCA)
  • Extensive experience in UK and international tax (US), preferably within a global business environment
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them to complex business scenarios
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities capable of influencing the C-suite

Day-to-day

  • Collaborating with finance and legal teams to assess tax implications of business decisions
  • Developing and implementing tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position
  • Overseeing tax reporting and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations
  • Providing expert advice on tax matters to support business operations and transactions
