ATA Estimator – Automotive Accident Repair

HB Accident Repair Network is recruiting an experienced ATA VDA Estimator to join our modern, high-performing repair centre in Ellesmere Port. This is a key role within the site, responsible for producing accurate, compliant estimates that support workshop efficiency, customer satisfaction, and commercial performance.
This role is not suitable for candidates without hands-on estimating experience in a vehicle accident repair centre.
The role
As ATA Estimator, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage accurately and efficiently, ensuring all repairs are correctly scoped, costed, and documented in line with manufacturer and insurer standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing accurate estimates using Audatex and/or GT Motive
- Capturing all vehicle damage correctly at first assessment
- Following approved manufacturer repair methods including Thatcham and Ezi-Methods
- Processing estimates in line with site capacity, budgets, and repair schedules
- Supporting KPI performance around revenue, cycle time, and efficiency
- Liaising directly with customers to explain repairs and manage expectations
- Identifying and escalating any safety-related repair concerns
- Supporting Customer Service teams with technical and estimating queries
- Updating estimates to reflect approvals, supplements, and final invoice values
To be considered, you must have:
- Proven experience as an ATA VDA Estimator within an automotive accident repair environment
- Strong knowledge of all body repair processes and procedures
- Hands-on experience using Audatex, GT Motive, Thatcham and Ezi-Methods
- Confidence working to tight deadlines in a busy bodyshop setting
- Clear communication skills and strong attention to detail
