Company Details And Job OverviewKenton Black Finance are working with a fantastic, progressive financial firm seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to work in a HYBRID OR OFFICE role from their offices in Ellesmere Port, Chester.This Payroll Manager opportunity is suitable for an experienced Payroll Manager/Supervisor possessing with full end to end payroll processing and team management experience, ready to join a friendly expanding firm offering a great place to work autonomously, providing mentorship, leadership and support to a small team of Payroll Administrators. You will be dealing with a variety of both small and larger payrolls on a weekly/fortnightly/monthly basis ensuring the workload is delegated however, also working "hands on" for your client portfolio via STAR IRIS.Payroll Manager Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -

Full end to end Payroll Manager duties comprising of the following :

  • Processing and managing Weekly/Fortnightly/Monthly payrolls via IRIS STAR Payroll Professional Payroll professional
  • Mentoring/training and delegating to small team of administrators providing technical support
  • Provide client with payroll reports and updates
  • Client communication
  • Dealing with HMRC queries & RTI
  • Processing SMP, SSP
  • Competent and knowledgeable with all aspects of pensions Auto enrolment procedures
  • Processing starters/leavers, P45/P46’s
  • Setting up of new clients
  • Extensive client liaison/interaction
  • BACS processing

Person SpecificationThe Payroll Manager will need to possess full end to end payroll processing experience running payrolls on a weekly/fortnightly/monthly basis together with team leadership experience to lead a small team. A solid knowledge of pension auto enrolment procedures to work effectively in this autonomous role.
