Armstrong Nield are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis to work on a new build distribution centre in Ellesmere Port.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with 3rd party contracts to ensure best value
- H&S Requirements, site compliance being key, i.e., PUWER/LOLER etc
- Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out ensuring compliance with all health & safety standards and regulations
- Planned maintenance schedules are followed and actioned effectively
- To work within the Facilities teams to resolve, repair issues and maintain equipment, assisting with quotes and project work
- React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected parties and work efficiently to fix the issue
- Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements
Skills and Experience:
- The right candidate would have warehouse automation experience(Robotics, AGV's)as the company looks to open our new warehouse
- Served a full Engineering indentured Apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject (City & Guilds EAL, SVQ/IVQ, BTEC all at Level 3)
- Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
- Experience of setting standards and implementing on them site
- Warehouse internals i.e. Racking/dock doors/dock lifting systems/ sprinklers/lighting/power distribution/plumbing/joinery and general repair works
- Organise and prioritise multiple maintenance works
Good communication skills within a team but also working alongside operations
