- A client in the South Wirral/Ellesmere Port area is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a permanent position.
- The role offers an initial pay of £20/hr while training, increasing to £21.95/hr after transitioning to a 4on 4off shift system.

This is a *permanent role paying £20/hr initially working on days (8-4:30pm whilst getting up to speed with plant) before moving to a 4on 4off shift system on DAYS & NIGHTS where the rate will increase to £21.95/hr. *Temp to perm via agency for 12 weeks before being taken on by client.
You will need to be a qualified Mechanical Engineer, who ideally has experience of working in a heavy plant environment.
You will carry out planned & reactive mechanical maintenance duties including emergency breakdowns.
Other Duties/Responsibilities include:
* Maintain mechanical plant equipment including: Conveyor Belts, shafts, pumps, rollers, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems and other process/plant equipment.
* Welding (MIG/Stick) and some fabrication experience will also be required.
* Maintain building infrastructure to ensure optimal performance of plant at all times.
* It is essential that the equipment operates at correct levels at all times & be maintained efficiently. Due to the nature of the material being processed, it is a harsh operating environment and therefore effective preventative and reactive maintenance is required in equal measures.
* Fill in appropriate documentation for maintenance jobs undertaken and report to Maintenance Manager when required but also able to work independently.
* Oversee and adhere to company H&S procedures set out by the company.
