Are you dedicated to supporting children and families affected by domestic abuse? We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Children & Family Worker to join our Cheshire West and Chester project. This vital role is based in Ellesmere Port and surrounding areas, offering you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your local community.

About the Role:
You will work directly with children and parents impacted by domestic abuse, providing practical and emotional support to help them rebuild their lives. Your role will include working closely with families and partner agencies to promote safety, resilience, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 and family support sessions with children and parents affected by domestic abuse
  • Use trauma-informed approaches to help families cope and recover
  • Maintain accurate, confidential case records and reports
  • Promote safeguarding and child protection best practices at all times
  • Work collaboratively with local agencies and professionals

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children and families, ideally in a domestic abuse setting (essential)
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
  • Strong understanding of domestic abuse and trauma-informed practice
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable children and families
  • Current DBS certificate or willingness to undergo a DBS check
