Salary: £48,000 + benefits + bonus scheme + on call payment (potential up to £60,000 PA)

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm + overtime when required

Job Overview:

EC&I Partners are working with a leading organisation in the Energy from Waste industry, offering a chance to be part of a cutting-edge facility that generates sustainable electricity for thousands of homes. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced EC&I Maintenance Technician to join a forward-thinking team and make a real impact.

Reporting to the EC&I Maintenance Supervisor, you will carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on electrical and control systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and environmental permits. As an EC&I Technician you will be supporting pre-commissioning, hot commissioning, and helping shape operational standards from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical equipment and infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules, codes of practice, and management instructions
  • Report and investigate health, safety, and environmental incidents
  • Execute proactive and reactive maintenance activities to OEM standards
  • Assist in developing maintenance documentation and strategies
  • Work with CMMS to prioritise and manage tasks efficiently
  • Support outage planning and execution
  • Supervise contractors, reviewing risk assessments and quality of work
  • Maintain plant cleanliness and housekeeping standards
  • Participate in H&S meetings and inspections
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and root cause analysis

Qualifications & Experience

  • Recognised Electrical/Instrumentation apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong EC&I background in ERF, process plant, or similar environment
  • Experience with switchgear, control gear, instrumentation, motors, VSDs, DCS, and SCADA
  • Minimum 5 years' practical electrical/instrumentation experience
  • Knowledge of CMMS and maintenance planning
  • Ability to read technical drawings, P&IDs, and schematics
  • IOSH or NEBOSH safety qualification (advantageous)
