HGV Tanker Mechanic (Ellistown)

Key Responsibilities of a HGV Mechanic:

  • Inspect, service, and repair tankers to a high standard
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all compliance documentation
  • Operate company vehicles in line with road traffic laws and company policies
  • Highlight any potential commercial opportunities to your line manager
  • Maintain high levels of customer service and meet all specified deadlines
  • Adhere to all company health & safety procedures and policies
  • Attend all required training and demonstrate professionalism in your day-to-day duties
  • Be prepared for possible shift work, including some weekends

Qualifications and Skills HGV Mechanic:

  • Time-served experience with tankers or HGV types (trucks and trailers)
  • Experience in related fields such as hydraulics, pneumatics, plant machinery, etc., will be considered
  • City & Guilds Levels 1, 2 & 3 or equivalent qualifications are advantageous
  • Good communication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to complete relevant documentation
  • Initiative to work independently when required
