19+ per hour

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm - 37.5 hours per week (1 hour lunch)

gap construction are seeking a Labourer with Forklift Experience to join a reputable contractor working on a 24-unit traditional build housing development valued at 3 million.

This role is ideal for someone happy to assist with general labouring duties while operating the forklift as required. You'll be part of a friendly and professional team delivering a high-quality residential project in the local area.

Performance Objectives

• Carry out general site labouring duties including maintaining site cleanliness and moving materials.
• Operate the forklift safely and efficiently as directed by the Site Manager.
• Support trades and ensure materials are distributed to the correct areas on site.
• Adhere to all site health and safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a proactive and flexible attitude, assisting across various tasks as required.

Person Specification

• Previous experience working as a Labourer within the construction industry.
• Valid CSCS card and Forklift licence are essential.
• Confident operating a forklift safely and efficiently on a busy site.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible approach - willing to assist with general labouring duties when not on the forklift.
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
