SEMH Teaching Assistant - Long Term Role near Ely


Are you an empathetic, consistent and patient individual with a passion for supporting young people? TimePlan Education is currently recruiting for a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and specialist school near Ely on a long-term basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students who face a range of social, emotional, and mental health challenges. You will play a vital role in helping them access education in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.

The Role:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis with their learning and emotional development
  • Helping to manage challenging behaviour consistently and calmly
  • Encouraging engagement, motivation, and positive outcomes in and out of the classroom
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals

About You:

  • Previous experience working in an SEMH or similar setting is highly desirable
