Maintenance Team Leader - FMCG

Salary: Up to £56,000 per annum
Shift: 4 on 4 off days and nights
Are you a driven and hands-on Maintenance Team Leader or Lead Engineer with a background in fast-paced manufacturing? Do you thrive on reducing downtime, driving performance, and leading engineering teams from the front? If so, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for. We are seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to take ownership of daily engineering activities on site - leading a team, improving asset reliability, and supporting continuous improvement projects. In this role you will still remain hands ons on, but step up in the lead, overseeing the enigneering team.
Key Responsibilities for the Maintenance Team Leader
- Be happy to remain 90% hands on
- Working on electrical and mechanical faults
- lead, mentor and guide the other engineers
Skills required for the Maintenance Team Leader
- Time-served or qualified Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled)
- Experience working in a FMCG, Factory environment
- An exisitng team leader or aspirational engineer looknig to take the next step in their career
- Strong fault-finding skills and hands-on knowledge of automated production equipment
- Excellent communication and team management skills
- A passion for continuous improvement, lean principles, and developing people
- Confident working under pressure in a fast-moving production environment
