Role Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 3 pupil with ASD. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in Key Stage 1 (KS1) or Key Stage 2 (KS2) and a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Physical Disabilities (PD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to a Year 3 pupil with ASD.
  • Implement individualized learning plans and strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and parents to ensure the pupil's needs are met.
  • Monitor and report on the pupil's progress and development.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working in KS1 or KS2.
  • Experience with SEN, particularly ASD, SEMH, PD, ADD, and ADHD.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
