Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a 1:1 position, providing tailored support to help the pupil thrive academically and socially. You would be working in tandem with the class teacher to ensure the pupil thrives and gets the most out of the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to the pupil during school hours.
  • Assist with academic tasks and social integration.
  • Implement strategies to manage and support SEMH needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the pupil's well-being and progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), SEMH, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Physical Disabilities (PD).
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support.
  • DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one.
  • UK address and right to work.
  • Must be available 5 days per week 8.30-15.30.
