About the Specifications Technologist job
The purpose of your role will be to prepare and issue customer specifications, catering to our clients diverse client base and work closely with both Technical and NPD teams, supporting all aspects of their operations consistently driving innovation and excellence.
Key tasks
- Accurately complete and manage customer specifications agreed timescales, ensuring specification files are maintained and reviewed on time.
- Collaborate with the technical department to arrange necessary samples for nutritional and chemical analysis, address customer queries promptly, and seek approval for any requested product changes, updating specifications accordingly and communicating with all relevant departments.
- Support the production of qualityproducts by demonstrating technical awareness of the manufacturing process, monitoring product quality, and ensuring alignment with market trends.
- Organise and manage product documentation for effective handover to the Technical Department, ensuring compliance with the critical path and company standards.
About You
- Ideally be educated to a degree level in a food science/technology discipline and have previous experience working in a technical, specifications or closely related role from within food manufacturing.
- You will have experience writing finished product specifications.
- Computer literate with confidence using Word and Excel.

The Specifications Technologist job (ref:8889) is paying £30,000 - £40,000 according to your experience.
The site is in North London and is commutable from Enfield, Ilford, Hackney, Waltham Cross and Potters Bar.
The working week is Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
