Auto Electrician - Used Car Dealership

Location: Enfield, EN1Salary: £30,000 -£45,000 per annum (DOE)Shifts: Shift works with a 30 mins break included

AM: 6:00am- 2:30pm

PM: 3:00pm- 11:30pm

2 Saturdays per month required

We’re one of the UK’s fastest-growing used car dealerships, selling over 1,000 cars every month. Our modern Vehicle Preparation Centre in Enfield runs at full throttle, and we’re looking for skilled, motivated Auto Electricians to join our dynamic technical team.

This is your opportunity to be part of a high-performance operation, working with vehicles from all makes and models, including hybrids and fully electric cars.

The Role

As an Auto Electrician, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical systems on a wide range of petrol, diesel, hybrid, and EV vehicles. You’ll work closely with our prep team to ensure every car is road-ready, fault-free, and meets our high-quality standards before hitting the forecourt.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fault-finding, diagnostics, and repair of electrical and electronic vehicle systems

  • Work on hybrid and electric vehicles, including battery systems, charging components, and onboard electronics.

  • Inspect and repair wiring, lighting, sensors, ECUs, control modules, instrument clusters, and infotainment systems

  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues across all makes and models

  • Complete job cards and system updates accurately

  • Support the prep and delivery of high-quality vehicles on tight turnaround schedules

  • Work both independently and as part of a team to meet daily targets

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the UK automotive sector as an Auto Electrician

  • Experience across all makes and models, including hybrids and EVsStrong skills in diagnostics, fault-finding, and repair of vehicle electrical systems

  • Must have own tools

  • Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised and manage workload efficiently

  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • Flexibility to work either AM or PM shifts + 2 Saturdays/month

  • Must be willing to complete a 3-hour trial

  • Sponsorship may be available, but minimum 2 years of UK-based workshop experience is required

Desirable (but not essential):
  • EV or hybrid certifications

  • Level 3 Vehicle Electrics qualification

  • Experience using diagnostic platforms such as Bosch, Snap-on, or Autel
