Fire Safety Surveyor | North London | £59-62K + LGPS + benefits

We are seeking a skilled Fire Safety Surveyor to join our dedicated team, helping ensure compliance with fire safety legislation and best practice across our housing portfolio.

Role overview

As a Fire Safety Surveyor, you will play a vital role in safeguarding residents by carrying out fire safety surveys, inspections, and risk assessments. You’ll work closely with colleagues, contractors, and residents to implement safety measures, manage risks, and ensure statutory compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct fire safety surveys and inspections across residential buildings.
  • Identify risks and recommend practical solutions to ensure compliance.
  • Support the delivery of fire risk assessments and follow-up actions.
  • Liaise with contractors and internal teams to oversee remedial works.
  • Provide technical advice on fire safety standards, policies, and regulations.

About you

We’re looking for someone who holds:

  • NEBOSH Fire Certificate
  • Building Surveying or equivalent degree
  • Membership of IFE, RICS, CIOB, CABE or IFSM
  • Experience carrying out fire safety inspections and assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and building safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
