An ambitious and experienced Head of Geography is required to lead a thriving department in an Outstanding school in Enfield for a full-time, permanent position commencing in September or earlier if possible. You will be responsible for the strategic direction, development, and performance of the Geography department across all Key Stages.
Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and management for the Geography department.
- Develop and implement an engaging and challenging Geography curriculum across all Key Stages.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the department.
- Support and line manage Geography teachers, fostering their professional development.
- Contribute to the wider leadership and management of the school.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Geography.
- Significant experience teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Proven leadership and management skills within a Geography department.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- A passion for Geography and the ability to inspire both students and staff.
