Position: Teaching Assistant - Autism Unit

Location: Enfield Borough, London

Number of Children: 8

Contract Type: Full-time

Rate: £90 -£100 per day based on experience

Contract Duration: Immediate Start until July 2025

Working Hours: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (Term Time Only)

Role and Responsibilities:

Provide individualized support and guidance to students within the Autism Unit.

Collaborate with the class teacher and therapists to implement personalized learning programs.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported.

Assist students in developing social, communication, and behavioural skills.

Work closely with parents and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.

Contribute to a collaborative team environment and participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

Relevant experience working with children with autism is highly desirable.

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Teaching and Learning Support or equivalent qualification.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with autism.

A positive and proactive attitude towards overcoming challenges.
